As many of you know (I'd be happy to fill the uninformed in over a beer) I have been grinding through my PhD program over the last two years. Basically the Tour de Phd is split into four stages:
Stage one: Course Work - Completed
Stage two: Qualifying Exams - Completed (one week ago!)
Stage three: Disseration Proposal - In progress
Stage four: Dissertation Defense - >>>
I recently completed stage two of the tour last week. Had I not finished that stage I would have been kindly asked to leave (unfortunately this happens often). I spent my entire Christmas break studying for my exams and was unable to attend the Ag3r winter training camp in Florida. During this time I sold my tt bike to a person in Japan in order to free up some funds for a properly fitting bike. I aimed at rewarding myself if I passed Stage two.
