Joe the Plumviller
The weather was Sunday’s ride was not in the riders favor. It was about 50 degrees with a slight wind. Unfortunately, I have no purchased my winter riding gear so I had to just stack layers. It would have been easy to opt out of the ride, but I needed to get back on the bike. With all the work I have been doing lately my mileage has been suffering. Andy and Matt showed up for the ride and we decided to ride the Plumville loop. It was my first time riding the loop, but it was a decent ride. It took about an hour for my legs to finally get warmed up. We ended up riding for about 46 miles with a 17 average which isn’t bad considering the turn around waiting for my wife. I am progressing with hills and they seem to be getting just a little bit easier. Outside of that my frame has been delayed (thanks to fedex) and will be arriving on Wednesday. I can’t wait to switch it out so I won’t be hoping around on my seat. I’m also looking for a tt bike, and have finally measured myself to a 51-52cm frame. I’m currently looking at a cervelo and felt right now. I’d rather have the cervelo, but the felt is fitted with zipp 404 clinchers, so we will see at the end of the week.
